Throughout the evening, Russian aerial assaults have caused electricity outages in extensive areas of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.
Nine people were hurt while inhabitants in the city's east were experienced blackouts and faced disruption to drinking water, per reports from local authorities.
At the same time, a minor was fatally injured in a distinct assault in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southern area, based on information from local officials.
Russian forces has escalated attacks on power infrastructure over the last fortnight, while the country's government has demanded "concrete actions" from partner nations to apply pressure on Moscow.
"The necessity is not window dressing but strong steps - from the US, European nations and the major economies - in providing air defence systems and enforcing sanctions," mentioned in a public message.
He said that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty rockets targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, characterizing such attacks as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as the weather cools.
Government representatives said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and maintenance teams were laboring to fix the damage.
A barrage of missiles hit electrical systems and residential structures in the capital.
Several of the people wounded in the strikes on the city have been transported for medical care, according to municipal representatives.
Area administrators said the city experienced intense attacks overnight. A young boy lost their life and three other people were wounded.
The attacks follow periods of bombing campaigns in the area, portions of which are occupied by Moscow's military.
All of Ukraine is under warning for advanced weapon attacks, which are harder to detect.
Government officials told journalists that Russia was intentionally trying to demolish the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already disrupting energy systems.
